Whispers of the Eyeless takes place in an abandoned mental institution where the player awakens with no memory. The facility is inhabited by a creature that cannot see but reacts to every sound the player makes. The environment is filled with audio logs and notes that slowly reveal the story of the asylum’s downfall and the creature’s origin.

Gameplay revolves around moving quietly, hiding from the creature, and using the environment to distract it. The player must solve simple puzzles to progress through different wings of the asylum, each with unique threats. Limited tools such as a flashlight with dying batteries and throwable objects add to the resource management elements.
