Massive Chalice is a turn-based tactical strategy game set in a fantasy kingdom under siege by a demonic force known as the Cadence. As the immortal ruler, you must build and manage a dynasty of heroes over hundreds of years, marrying them off to produce offspring with powerful traits to continue the fight. The game’s narrative unfolds across multiple generations, with each hero’s life and death impacting the kingdom’s future.
Gameplay combines tactical battles on a grid-based battlefield with a deep dynasty management system. You must recruit heroes, equip them with weapons and artifacts, and send them into combat against the Cadence. Between battles, you manage your kingdom’s resources, research technologies, and arrange marriages to produce stronger heirs. The permadeath system adds tension, as fallen heroes are lost forever, forcing you to adapt your strategy.
